Descriptif / Historique
CIM decided to focus on its three main fields of expertise:
- The manufacture of components and the supply of parts and railway equipment
- The realization of railway and urban transport projects
- Rolling stock maintenance and logistics
Historically a key player in the railway sector, CIM operates in more than 90 countries, has an average consolidated turnover of around 60 million euros of full export and employs 70 people.
History: 40 years in the service of rail transport
1975: Creation of Logerail : spare parts and equipment for the rolling stock operated by French and foreign railway authorities
1991: Logerail becomes CIM
1993: CIM buys LAF (Les Appareils Ferroviaires), French manufacturer of automatic coupler systems
1996: The British manufacturer Lloyd ABC Couplers joins CIM, thus completing the range that LAF has to offer
1997: CIM acquires Quélor and Rail Industries Canada (RIC) companies
2000: SEPAV joins the CIM group
2006: CIM adds to its expertise by acquiring the stock in trade of Railway Mine and Plantation Equipment (RMP) in London
2013 : CIM acquires SEG, French manufacturer and designer of railway workshop equipment
2014 : CIM is the exclusive representative of Tata Steel in the sub-Saharan francophone African markets
2015 : Creation of the Joint Venture CIM-FORMAT in Kazakhstan (Manufacturing of automatic coupler systems in K.)
2017 : CIM acquires MECHAN (Desgn and munfacturing of rail depots with innovative lifting and handling equipment)
