Descriptif / Historique

Formerly called HITACHI RAIL STS, HITACHI RAIL STS develops, in close collaboration with the main operators of the international rail networks, the most advanced technologies and signaling systems, such as :

- the ERTMS* European standards (levels 1 and 2),
- the CBTC** Metro technology,
- the management of trains by satellite

HITACHI RAIL STS is involved from the definition of the specifications with the customer to the commissioning of the new signaling system, as well as feasibility studies, security analyses, management of international projects, tests and simulation procedures, training future users, maintenance.

HITACHI RAIL STS is involved in the following activities:

High speed lines: A large part of the high-speed lines in the world and 100% of the French high-speed lines are equipped with HITACHI RAIL STS ground signaling systems and embedded (TVM 300, TVM 430, ERTMS). With SNCF, an ambitious program for the development of embedded systems is in place on all European networks.

Conventional lines and freight: HITACHI RAIL STS designs train control systems (TVM, PTC, ERTMS ...), interlocking stations (SEI, SEI NG), in Europe, North America, India, China and Australia.

Metro: HITACHI RAIL STS is involved in numerous signaling projects, particularly with the latest generation of CBTC systems in commercial service in France, Denmark, China, Italy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and in progress in Peru and USA. France is the HITACHI RAIL STS center of global expertise for Metro Systems (CBTC).

Planning & Supervision: HITACHI RAIL STS provides traffic control solutions of any size. They are based on advanced technologies, integrated with a Centralized Traffic Control (CTC). Components: HITACHI RAIL STS offers a wide range of components: track circuits (UM71, UM2000), electronic pedals, hotbox detectors, level crossings.

Operation & Maintenance: A 24//7 presence to provide total availability, optimized functionality and maximum efficiency, including the maintenance of the HSL Madrid Lerida, the Paris Metro, the automatic metros of Copenhagen, Brescia, Milan and Riyadh.
